WHAT OUR PATIENTS ARE SAYING…
DC – DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTOR
DR. CHAD MORTON
A graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. Chad has been providing safe and effective chiropractic care to patients of all ages and backgrounds in East Gwillimbury since 2000. Utilizing his two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Chad provides thorough and individualized care plans to maximize your health so that you can live a life free from pain and full of abundance.
Dr. Chad treats many conditions such as neck and back pain, headaches, sciatica, sports injuries, and more. As a family-oriented chiropractor, Dr. Chad sees many babies, children and teenagers for various ailments ranging from simple wellness checks to ear infections and digestive discomfort to attention deficit disorders.
Dr. Chad believes that chiropractic care is more than just relieving pain. It is also about improving quality of life, preventing future problems and helping you live your best life possible. He educates his patients on the importance of proper posture, exercise, nutrition, and stress management. He also encourages them to take an active role in their own health and wellness.
FUN FACT:
Dr. Chad knew he wanted to be a chiropractor at age 16! He was introduced to the far-reaching benefits of chiropractic care at a young age. As a child, he was deemed a special needs student in elementary school. A football injury in high school landed him in a chiropractor’s office where he received a head-to-toe adjustment that made him feel like new person. He went from a struggling jock to a star athlete and a straight A student in one semester, thanks to the consistent chiropractic care he received. In practice, he takes a special interest in positively impacting the lives of children who have attention and learning disabilities.
ND – DOCTOR OR NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
DR. REKA LASZLOW
Dr. Reka is a naturopathic doctor who has been serving the community of Mount Albert for a decade. A graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she is passionate about taking a comprehensive and integrative approach to treatment by addressing the root cause of illness rather than simply treating the symptoms.
She has developed a focus in women’s hormone health and specializes in hormonal balancing (menopause, menstrual cycle concerns and fertility), insomnia, chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries, mental health, stress, and thyroid management.
Dr. Reka offers a range of services that include comprehensive blood or urine testing, hormone balancing using botanical herbs or Bio-Identical Hormone treatments, acupuncture and trigger point release therapy, and nutraceuticals. Each treatment plan is developed for the individual’s specific case and needs based on thorough assessment and test results to effectively address the root cause of their concern.
Known for her compassion and straightforward approach, Dr. Reka takes the time to get to know each of her patients in order to fully understand their concerns and what’s important to them. She believes that this is the difference between treating an illness or condition and treating a whole person. Taking the time to understand and listen to a patient is where it all begins.
FUN FACT:
Dr. Reka is a wife and a mom of two young boys who keep her busy, humble and practicing what she preaches. She is proud to call Mount Albert home and feels privileged to be our little town’s go-to naturopath!
R.AC – REGISTERED ACUPUNCTURIST
HELEN WONG
As a registered acupuncturist, Helen uses the ancient art of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture to help people get their body and mind back on track. She has been serving Mount Albert since graduating from Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2020.
Helen believes that acupuncture should be both gentle and effective, and spends the necessary time to get to know each patient as a whole person. Using this holistic approach, she treats a wide variety of conditions ranging from physical pain to psycho-emotional wellness.
Common conditions she treats include: musculoskeletal and neurological pain, headaches and migraines, digestion, infertility and pregnancy, menstrual irregularities and mood fluctuations, insomnia, osteoarthritis, stress, depression and anxiety.
She is passionate about natural health and has seen the profound impact that a holistic approach has made on people from all walks of life, including herself. Helen grew up with the cultural traditions of TCM and used acupuncture, herbs, and TCM nutrition as the first stop for almost any condition that popped up. When it came time to start a family, she used acupuncture to boost fertility naturally and throughout her pregnancies and beyond for health maintenance. As a mother of two young children she has a passion and soft spot for supporting the emotional wellbeing of mothers.
FUN FACT:
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Helen worked as a women’s health and wellness journalist for many years. This experience sharpened her keen sense of curiosity and critical eye for investigation, which has proven helpful when working with complex health issues. TCM is very much like doing detective work!
